CirculEC Monitoring Meeting at Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC)

Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC) proudly hosted the CirculEC Project Monitoring Meeting on 13 October 2025 in Dushanbe. The event was part of the EU-funded Erasmus+ project "Development of innovative curricula and modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development" (Project No. 101129169).

This monitoring visit formed a key segment of a regional evaluation tour across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, aiming to assess university progress in implementing innovative circular economy curricula.

The meeting gathered national and international academics, project coordinators, and education leaders, who reviewed TSUC's achievements in embedding circular economy principles into its bachelor's, master's, and lifelong learning programs.

Participants were welcomed by Rector Nazarzoda Khauryllo Kholnazar, followed by presentations from project partners, a tour of TSUC's campus, and an in-depth review of the university's pilot implementation results. The day concluded with a cultural visit to the historic Hisar Fortress, strengthening cooperation and networking among partners.

As one of 11 Central Asian universities in the CirculEC consortium, TSUC contributes actively to reshaping higher education for sustainable development. Across the region, the project aims to impact over 1,100 students, develop 27 new modules, and modernize 27 existing courses, empowering future specialists to lead Central Asia's transition toward a circular and resilient economy.
