Title: Improving the quality of training of specialists in the tourism field

OBJECTIVES:

Objective 1 *: To increase the prestige of the specialty of “Tourism Management”
Objective 2: To improve the study program of “Tourism Management”
Objective 3: To increase the capacity building of the department.

WITHIN THE PROJECT FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES EXPECT FROM THE FULBRIGHT SPECIALIST:

1. Meeting with administration of University, head and teachers of Management and Labor Economics Department for introduction aim and objects of Fulbright Specialist visit, discussion of work plan to all period of visit.
2. Meeting with students
3. Assistance to the department in improving the study program on Tourism Management
2. Conducting lecture and practical classes for students
3. Master classes for teachers

SPECIFIC TASKS:

- to assess the curriculum, educational materials regarding the discipline
- to take part in the classes of teachers and to evaluate the methodologies they use for teaching and evaluating students
- to train teachers in new methodologies for teaching and evaluating students
- organization of extra activities(sections) for students
- a joint trip with students and teachers of the department to the tourist places in Dushanbe and surrounding areas
- teamwork with teachers, students and employers to improve the educational program on Tourism Management.
