The State independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, along with socio-economic sectors, contributed to the development and expansion of science and education in the country, contributed to an increase in the number of young scientists and researchers.

At the Tajik State University of Commerce, special attention is paid to the training and retraining of young scientists, a striking example is the successful defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations on various scientific topics.

On September 29, 2021, the successful defense of the doctoral dissertation of the Rector of the Tajik State University of Commerce Kurbonzod Mahmadali Rahmat on the topic "Formation and development of integrated structures in the cotton subcomplex: based on the materials of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tajikistan" took place in the Dissertation Council 6D.KOA-014 at the Tajik Agrarian University named after Shirinsho Shohtemur.
