The Department of Culture and Museum was established in January 2021 in order to ensure the effective development of culture and art, organize and conduct exhibitions, revive folk customs and crafts, promote the development and strengthening of cultural ties between peoples, as well as attract students and teachers to various cultural events. The Department attracts students to actively participate in various cultural programs held at the university, district and city levels, as well as contributes to the preservation of the history of the university, improving the museum fund of the university, demonstrating the achievements of the university at various levels.

The Department operates on the basis of the wise policy and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, legislation in the field of education, orders and instructions of the Rector of the Tajik State University of Commerce, the university charter, regulations, job descriptions and the implementation of the annual plan of the department.

Since January 2021, the Department of Culture and Museum is was appointed by Saodat Nuralikhonzoda.
